You closed my previous thread /threa...ml#pid6047 as I was editing to add that the proxy usage is not to bypass country usage and is legitimate.

The proxy is a socks SSH tunnel to allow it to work through the firewall, I am in the UK and have a valid TV license.

The proxy command has been available in get_iplayer for some time and is needed for some internet access and worked previous to the latest release.

The initial cache updating and searching is fine using the proxy but it fails to parse the JSON PID details. The parameter and error is in the original thread but I can supply again if you need it.

The circumstance of proxy use doesn't make a difference, we don't provide support for it here in this forum.
