Search by Index Number Range ?

Can it be possible to search on a range of index numbers?

I like to download Radio2 Playlists but I dont want them all, having a range to search and then download for me would be useful.

Such as:

get_iplayer --type=radio 12345-12354

I hope this explanation is clear.

No. The index numbers change every time the cache is updated, so they are not useful as search criteria.

I understand that the index is refreshed and is not static, however if you search for the playlist as follows:

get_iplayer "Radio 2 Playlists"

21518: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Morning Acoustic, BBC Radio 2, b08pvphn
21519: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Wednesday Workout, BBC Radio 2, b08pvphq
21520: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2's Country Playlist, BBC Radio 2, b08pvpkc
21521: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Relax, BBC Radio 2, b08pvpkf
21522: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Radio 2 Rocks, BBC Radio 2, b08pvpkh
21523: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2's Tracks Of My Years Playlist, BBC Radio 2, b08pvplr
21524: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Have A Great Weekend, BBC Radio 2, b08pvplt
21525: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Feelgood Friday, BBC Radio 2, b08pvplw
21526: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2's Funky Soul Playlist, BBC Radio 2, b08pvpn0
21527: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Today's Top Hits, BBC Radio 2, b08pvpn2
21528: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: 21st Century Songs, BBC Radio 2, b08pvpn4
21529: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Love Songs, BBC Radio 2, b08qq4cp
21530: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Easy, BBC Radio 2, b08qq4cr
21531: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2's Blues Playlist, BBC Radio 2, b08qq4dy
21532: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Pop Ballads, BBC Radio 2, b08qq4f0
21533: radio, Radio 2 Playlists - Radio 2 Playlist: Upbeat, BBC Radio 2, b08qq4f2

If I only wanted 21528 through to 21531, I know I can do individual index numbers on the same line, I'd like to do a range.

I know the above example is just 3 files for argument sake but sometimes I would like a few more. Is this request a major code write or not a function/facility that anyone would use?

I think it maybe I've been looking at to many Cisco access lists (can use ranges), haha.

Again, no. You can just copy/paste the PIDs for the episodes you want. Feel free have a crack at it yourself and submit a pull request, but this is not something I will invest any effort in.
