get_iplayer forums

Hi all,

First post here... hope i get the facts down correctly.

We are trying to find 'London 2017 Day 9 Part 3' using get_iplayer, as per the iPlayer URL below:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09...y-9-part-3

There are 32 episodes that I would expect to see:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b00m9g27?page=1

I'm able to download the program via iPlayer, so it is available, a plain 'get_iplayer' returns '4947 matching programmes' but it is not showing a lot of the London 2017 episodes, after day 6:

I've refreshed the cache via 'get_iplayer --refresh' to no avail, and installed the latest version:

When did you first install get_iplayer? It's likely the answer to this issue is contained in the FAQ:

get_iplayer will only get 7 previous days of listings on first install. When was the programme you want first broadcast?

Thanks for the quick reply! We've had get_iplayer installed for years... however, embarrassingly the FAQ has fixed the issue - I had no idea that you could use the URL from iPlayer in place of the PID, and it is now downloading! We've never had this issue before, one to remember, many thanks.
